How it works

Use this calculator to determine the optimal fee for your EBP audits, adjusting as needed for engagements based on complexity and client willingness to pay.

Every regional market has its own sublinear pricing model, fitted to the rule fee = A × participantsB, estimated about the median for that region. Dispersion around that curve is proportional rather than additive, which is what lets one percentile ladder apply at any participant count. Where a regional market has too few disclosed fees to fit on its own, the calculator falls back to the national curve for that plan type.

Source: Department of Labor Form 5500 Schedule H, engagements where the independent qualified public accountant disclosed a fee. Plans below 100 participants are excluded, since an audit is generally not required and the curve is outside its fitted range.
